ST. GEORGE – Since opening in summer 2020, Handel’s homemade ice cream has been delighting southern Utah, one scoop at a time.
With exciting flavors added to their menu every month, it’s always a good time to stop by, so Sheldon Demke, host of “What’s on the Menu,” brought Canyon Media CEO Ben Lindquist to see news at Handel in St. George.
Join Sheldon and Ben for creamy handel’s delicacies in this week’s episode of “Menu contents” in the above media player.
“It’s a good day where you can bring your boss to work,” Demke said. “He insisted, but only because he’s a huge fan of ice cream.”
A frequent visitor to Handel’s, Lindquist immediately got to work ordering a chocolate malt specialty. His preference is for no syrup, add banana, add peanut butter, and voila! Thick and creamy delight.
Lindquist said he’s a huge fan of Handel’s classic split banana – and for good reason. It’s just out of this world.
“The best ice cream in town,” he says. “If you walk past and see the line, that should be a good sign. … If you have to wait five or six minutes for the best ice cream and the best milkshakes in the world? Worth it. “
When it comes to variety, Handel’s doesn’t skimp. All of their 48 flavors are freshly made every day in the store. Don’t miss their most popular flavor, Graham Central Station.
Can’t choose just one flavor? Try the four-scoop sampler, which you can share with a friend – like Demke and Lindquist did – or keep it all to yourself.
Ryan Yardley, co-owner of Handel’s location in St. George, said he offers fast delivery within a 5 mile radius if you don’t feel like leaving home or throwing a party. Find them on the DoorDash app.
