The All-Class Business Company will expand to Milan

Business-class airline La Compagnie will launch service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Milan Malpensa Airport on April 15, the carrier announced on Tuesday. The flights are immediately available for sale.

“We look forward to attracting both business and leisure travelers with this new route,” La Compagnie CEO Christian Vernet said in a statement.

Before the Covid-19 outbreak, the company’s business mix was 60% leisure and 40% business, Vernet told BTN, adding that the ratio had clearly shifted towards leisure. during the pandemic. But the company is starting to see its enterprise segment grow again, especially with reservations from the small and medium-sized market, and as businesses return to the office, he said.

The Company will operate the route five days a week to begin with, departing Newark Thursday through Monday, with an eventual goal of a daily flight. It will use an Airbus A321neo aircraft configured with 76 flatbeds. The amenity kits will include Comfort Zone products from Italian brand Davines. The flights will also include an Italian-based food and beverage program curated by Michelin-starred Italian chefs and wine pairings from Italian organic vineyards, according to the carrier.

The company, launched in 2014, also offers year-round daily flights between Newark and Paris-Orly, and seasonal flights between Newark and Nice, France. Round-trip tickets start at $2,200 with free changes and refunds available up to 24 hours before departure, according to La Compagnie. Tickets also come with a lounge and priority access.
