“A trait of success is to train early. Wake up and train early. You must succeed. You have to be in shape. You know, you have to be physically fit to be mentally fit. They go together.

“So I put a lot more time into it. In fact, I first realized it when I read it about LeBron James. He spent $1.5 million a year on himself. Physiotherapist, masseuse, nutritionist, trainers, all that.

“And you know, when I saw that, I said, ‘I’m not spending anything, I’m not spending anything. I’ve just been camping when a fight forms. I gather a team of people, we go to the desert of Vegas. We lock ourselves up for ten weeks and do, shall we say, crazy work.

This came after the Irishman’s disappointing performance against Russian MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, McGregor would make quick work of Cerrone in his comeback fight and earn plenty of praise for it.

The Irishman has shown a quick recovery since his losing slip to “The Diamond” Dustin Poirier at the UFC in 2021. And even before he makes his comeback, McGregor already has plenty of takers. One of them is “The Problem Child” Jake Paul.

Paul recently mocked the Irishman after watching a video of his intense fight and also played it down while calling him out for a fight. However, McGregor decided to take matters into his own hands this time and responded to the YouTuber-turned-boxer in his own style.
