Bayley Currey will make his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season debut at Kansas Speedway on Saturday with Niece Motorsports.
Currey will drive the # 45 Sharky’s Pub & Grub Chevrolet Silverado in the Wise Power 200 on Saturday night. Chevrolet’s comeback program will pay homage to Niece Motorsports’ first Truck Series victory. The victory came two years at Kansas Speedway with Ross Chastain driving the # 45.
“I thank Mr. Niece and everyone at Niece Motorsports for the opportunity to come and drive their Chevrolets this weekend in Kansas,” said Currey. “The truck looks phenomenal – it’s a nice tribute to the organization’s first victory here two years ago. I can’t wait to race Saturday night in our Chevrolet Sharky. “
Currey is no stranger to the organization which has made four Truck Series starts during the 2020 season for the team. In those four starts, Currey did not finish worse than 18th. His best result, a 12e the place arrived at Darlington Raceway last September.
The Driftwood, Texas native has already started two NASCAR Camping World truck series in Kansas; both saw finishes of 29e due to mechanical problems. However, in three NASCAR Xfinity Series starts on the 1.5-mile tri-oval racetrack, Currey has a better finish from October 18. In addition, he also has a NASCAR Cup Series start on the track in 2019, finishing 33rd.
On Saturday night, the Wise Power 200 at Kansas Speedway is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST on FS1 and MRN.
