AJ Allmendinger and John Hunter Nemechek on pole for Texas

While much of the marching band next weekend to Texas Motor Circuit is intended for NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race Sunday, Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series have support events scheduled for Saturday. While AJ Allmendinger starts on the post for the old one Alsco 250 Uniforms, John Hunter Nemechek will do the same for the latter SpeedyCash.com 400.

Xfinity: Kaulig Racing in the front row

Last Saturday Allmendinger conducted a Kaulig Racing 1-2 finish in front Justin haley in the middle of Ohio. As a result, the two will form the front row for Texas. This is Allmendinger’s second pole of the season after Darlington.

Kyle busch starts fourteenth for his second Xfinity race of the year after winning COTA, another Texas track, in May. Other Mid-Ohio pilot changes include Garrett smithley and Tanner Berryhill are preparing for their second races of 2021, Josh berry going back to JR Motorsports‘# 8, Brandon gdovic back with Sam Hunt Racing, Stefan Parsons with BJ McLeod Motorsports, and MBM Motorsports mix rotation to place Texas native David starr and Matt Jaskol In the race.
With Berry returning to JRM after scoring a top ten at Mid-Ohio for Jordan Anderson Racing, the team’s eponymous driver will finally compete in his first Xfinity race of the year after being excluded from the first ten heats without qualifying. This will be Anderson Xfinity’s first departure since Dover 2017.

Timmy hill, which hosts Sunday’s All-Star Open, and Dillon bassett failed to qualify.

Truck: Nemechek points leader on pole

After signing his third victory of the year two weeks ago in Charlotte, Nemechek will return to pole for the fifth time in 2021. Ben rhodes, who sits second in points and just made his Cup debut on Sunday, starts second.

Carson Hocevar, after finishing second in career at Charlotte, equalizes her best starting spot to date in third; he began such a post at the Daytona Road Course in February.

Eleven trucks have different drivers from Charlotte including the presence of Cup drivers Chase Elliott and Ross chastain. Berry will do his Rackley’s WAR start while Ray ciccarelli preparing for its first start to the year. Although Anderson is listed in JAR Truck # 3, Howie DiSavino III will run while the owner / driver focuses on Xfinity.

For the third time in 2021, thirty-six drivers are entered, the lowest number to date.
